This is 5 facts about the moon and how it was formed and what it does for us.

Paragraph Writing - Cultural Appreciation

 Why is Culture important? I think that it is important to share and celebrate our culture because we should know where we come from and learn about our past. It’s important to share and learn about your own culture because your culture is like part of identity. We should all learn and share stuff about our own culture but also listen to others and learn about their cultures too. 

I am samoan I can speak samoan and understand but not fluently. My family comes from Samoa and I have been there tons of times. We dance for lots of reasons and one is to show respect to our elders. In Samoa there are lots of traditions and rules, like when the village chief's daughter or son is old enough they get their malu or  pe'a in honor of their village. When someone goes to get their malu or pe’a they have to go in a group or pairs so they can help them get through the pain. 

Culture is many different things, there are traditions and languages and family, everyone's view of culture is different. Just like us humans our cultures evolve and develop over time too. Lots of the newer generation do not know much about their culture, some know nothing, some know a little and some know more than others and that is why it’s important to share more about our cultures. 

Your culture is a part of you; it’s your identity and your identity. For some people their culture can be the way they do things, the way they speak and even the way they dance.Everyone has a culture even if they don’t know much about it. You always have one. This is why it is very important to learn and share about your culture.

                              For literacy we had to write a opinion writing of why we 

                      think it is important to share and celebrate our clutures.

 

Extension Rescreach Task

            In extension we are learning about meterology and the different

     kinds of weather instruments such as a Themometer, Rain gauge, wind vine
